LIBERAL NONSENSE
7-26-11
So many liberals have been writing so much
nonsense in this paper lately that the only way to properly
respond to them would require more space than is available here but
I’m compelled to pick away at some of it anyway.
The most recent statement of nonsense is from
John Sniezyk and includes, but is not limited to, this gem: “Not
wanting to pay taxes is like not wanting to maintain your home…”
Well, who “wants” to pay taxes? The only
certainties in life are death and taxes. We will pay taxes just as
we will someday die, so why does “wanting” have any place in the
debate - unless you don’t pay any taxes (LIKE MOST LIBERALS) and
feel guilty about it.
The reality is that most people who pay taxes
understand the necessity and want to do their part. But what they
(we) are against is extreme taxation that becomes a tool of
oppression.
And speaking of not wanting to maintain your
home, I know I speak for a lot of people who pay high property taxes
and would love to have some of that money back so they can paint
their house or install some insulation (Not to mention maybe put
their kids in a private school).
It’s not a matter of wanting - it’s about
being able. As property taxes are not based on a person’s ability to
pay, when you experience a reduction in your income and cannot pay
the tax, the government will take your home away. But even those
who’ve been paying their property taxes through their mortgage
escrow are experiencing the pain of oppressive taxation, because
while their monthly payment is going up, the home’s value is going
down proportionately.
Facts that liberals don’t seem to understand;
All tax revenue comes from private enterprise. Without it there
would be no jobs. Without jobs there be no income to tax. Without
such virgin tax revenue there would be no way to pay the extremely
liberal state employees and their contemporaries who incessantly
write that these facts aren’t true. They bite the hand that feeds
them.
