“OJ” Politics
2/1/05
The radical left-wing
Liberal extremists just keep getting more shrill. You would think by now they
would have seen the writing on the wall, that they might begin to realize that
an increasing majority of Americans have seen through their sophistry. They
won’t bring new voters into their ranks by demonizing and insulting their
opposition but they continue to spew their hateful lies, in a desperate attempt
to save the Democratic Party from the destruction that their left-wing extremism
has wrought. They are playing “OJ” politics (If I can’t have her, nobody will).
The problem as I see it is
that most Liberals don’t think about what they are saying. They say what they
feel instead. What they are feeling today is hatred. They hate George Bush, pure
and simple it would seem, but their psychosis goes much deeper.
Many Liberals harbor a
deep-seated self-loathing brought on by their guilt over the way they live. They
want to be pure beings living in a perfect Utopia but they need their cars,
heat, hot water, air conditioning etc. They end up projecting their guilt over
what they have been indoctrinated into believing they have done to the
environment. They have guilt over the tens of millions of abortions of pure and
innocent children. They harbor guilty consciences with regard to their bigotry.
They are so deeply conflicted that they really need professional help.
The first thing they need
to do is to admit that they have a problem but they will never reach that first
step so long as they can get their daily fix from the pushers in the Liberal
media. So they project their guilt onto George Bush, those who support him, his
religion and Conservatism in general. The problem for them is that this
constitutes the vast majority of Americans. The problem for the rest of us is
that they are jeopardizing our economy, our freedom and our lives.
When I was young we had a
saying: “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”. I never bought into that way of
thinking but many of my contemporaries did. They saw the futility of opposing
the so-called “Progressive” movement and began tolerating the more innocuous
changes. But you can’t change everything about our country and then point to
those of us who remained constant in our beliefs and call us the extremists. We
aren’t radical or right wing. The founders of our nation are the benchmark by
which we can accurately judge who is left and who is right of center. Over the
decades since the writing of our Constitution, we’ve had many positive judicial
interpretations of it. We have also witnessed a number of misinterpretations and
we cannot ignore the fact that the misinterpreting has moved us steadily to the
left, toward socialism.
I respect George Bush for
his steadfast dedication to the principles that define our nation. He has taken
on some daunting challenges and has inspired me to do the same. I have always
stood against oppressive taxation in areas where it has been harmful to our
freedom and the economy. I still oppose such taxation but in the areas of
government that President Bush has invested my taxes I am glad to do my part. If
he succeeds in bringing us back from the brink of ruin that Liberal extremism
has brought us to, it will have been worth it.
